Church and Ministry Description:

Living Water Evangelical Church (LWEC) is a non-denominational church with 650+ in attendance. LWEC is predominantly a Chinese-American Church with services in Mandarin and English. The youth ministry consists an average attendance of 100 students from 6th grade – 12th grade.

 

Position Description:

Living Water Evangelical Church is seeking a full-time Youth Director

 

We are looking for a candidate who is above reproach and displays Christ like characteristics in teaching, preaching and lifestyle. The candidate must be able to biblically exposit the Bible, preach the Gospel, have experience shepherding teens, and is a team player with good administrative and organizational skills. Experience in working with Asian-Americans and their families is strongly preferred.

 

Pastoral duties include (but are not limited to):

1. Be a spiritual leader of the youth and be responsible for shepherding believers and sharing the Gospel.

2. Be responsible for youth Friday Night Bible studies and programs, and overseeing youth ministry teams.

3. Initiate and provide spiritual and biblical counseling for students and families.

4. Help set the vision, long-term and short-term goals of the youth ministry under the supervision of senior church leadership.

5. Lead co-workers in overseeing youth worship services, activities and events such as mission trips, summer and winter retreats, annual revival meeting, lock-ins, senior banquet and etc.

6. Work together with other pastors and leaders in setting the vision and goals of the church.

7. Other desirable qualities include (but are not limited to): strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as being proactive in ministry and building relationships.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree. Seminary or Bible School training preferred (or willing to work towards a Masters of Divinity). At least three years of experience in Youth Ministry or related ministry.
