We are looking for a candidate who is above reproach and displays Christ-like
character in teaching, preaching, and lifestyle. The candidate must be able to
accurately exposit the Bible, preach the Gospel, and have experience shepherding
teens with strong administrative, organizational, and relational skills. Experience
working with Asian-American youth and their families is strongly preferred.
Church and Ministry Description
Living Water Evangelical Church (LWEC) is a non-denominational church with
650+ in attendance. LWEC is a predominantly Chinese-American Church with
services in Mandarin and English. The youth ministry has an average
attendance of 50 students from 6th grade – 12th grade. The Youth Pastor will
serve under the supervision of the English Pastor.
Pastoral Duties

Shepherding – Be responsible for shepherding believers and sharing the Gospel.

Preaching and Teaching – Be responsible for weekly Friday Night Bible studies and occasional Sunday sermons, Sunday school, and Baptism classes.

Counseling and Discipleship– Initiate and provide spiritual and biblically-based counseling and discipleship for students and families.

Vision and Goals – Set the youth ministry's long/short-term goals in cooperation with senior church leaders.

Leadership – Lead ministry teams and youth committees. Mentor student leaders and work with adult volunteers (ministry co-workers) and parents.

Administration and Organization – Lead co-workers in overseeing activities and events such as worship services, prayer meetings, mission trips, summer and winter retreats, outreach meetings, and senior banquets.

Teamwork – Work with other pastors and leaders to set the church's vision and goals.

Other – Other desirable qualities include (but are not limited to): strong communication, administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as being proactive in building ministry, relationships, and community.
Qualifications
Master of Divinity degree or equivalent. At least two years of experience in full-
time Youth Ministry for Assistant Pastor position; at least five post-ordination
years of experience in a Pastoral position.
